Their\n150+ members are&nbsp;drawn from NGOs and civil society, corporate\norganisations, professional bodies and research and eye care institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They were founded in 1975 to lead international efforts in blindness\nprevention activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Their priorities are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Advocacy: Advocating for eye  health globally so it receives the attention and resources needed to  achieve universal access to eye care;<\/li><li>Partnerships: Building coalitions and partnerships to mobilise action and generate change at a global and local level; and<\/li><li>Knowledge: Providing authoritative data and information on eye health enabling the sharing of knowledge and experience to promote the development of good policy and practice.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The IAPB publishes a number of resources, some of which are highlighted\nbelow. The IAPB maintains a comprehensive website, which can be accessed by\nclicking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iapb.org\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IAPB Resource Highlights<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iapb.org\/advocacy\/world-report-on-vision\/\">Word\nreport on vision<\/a>: This\nreport is the cornerstone of IAPB\u2019s global advocacy strategy. It provides a\ncritical moment to inform and persuade global leaders about the magnitude and\nunacceptability of unavoidable vision loss globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;World Report on\nVision&nbsp;seeks to generate greater awareness and increased political will\nand investment to strengthen eye care globally. The report offers clear\nproposals to address significant challenges in delivering eye care through\nexisting health systems. It builds on the concerted efforts of the past thirty\nyears to propose an integrated, people-centred eye care that strengthens health\nsystems and meets population needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iapb.org\/knowledge\/webinars\">IAPB Webinar\nRepository<\/a>. IAPB\nWebinars are a great way for to learn, connect and grow with help from the IAPB\ncommunity. The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) brings you a series of interviews \u2013 written, audio and video \u2013speaking to individuals from the eye care sector, whose work continues to inspire us all. Using video and other media, IAPB will present one individual per episode.
