{"id":3854,"date":"2018-11-02T10:29:32","date_gmt":"2018-11-02T14:29:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cos-prc.machinedev.ca\/orbis-cybersight\/"},"modified":"2021-06-09T19:36:04","modified_gmt":"2021-06-09T23:36:04","slug":"orbis-cybersight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cosprc.ca\/fr\/orbis-cybersight\/","title":{"rendered":"Orbis: Cybersight"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cybersight.org\/online-learning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cybersight<\/a> is a global community of learning, sharing and practice, providing online training and mentorship service for eye health professionals in developing countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cybersight is a boundary-pushing, not-for-profit telemedicine initiative founded by <a href=\"http:\/\/orbis.org\/\">Orbis International<\/a> to help mitigate the shortage of skilled eye health professionals in developing countries, and help those in remote areas combat geographic isolation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The primary goal of the training is to increase the capacity of eye health professionals and health systems to treat and prevent blindness and visual impairment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cybersight offers free online courses in ophthalmology, developed and delivered by international ophthalmology experts, on topics that include: cataract surgery, cornea, glaucoma, ophthalmic nursing, pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Current Course Catalog:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Basic Pediatric Anesthesia<\/li><li>Fundamentals of Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery (MSICS)<\/li><li>Fundamentals of Pediatric Ophthalmology &amp; Strabismus<\/li><li>Ophthalmic Nursing Fundamentals<\/li><li>Introduction to Pediatric Glaucoma<\/li><li>Introduction to Pediatric Eye Care and Disease<\/li><li>Introduction to Retinoblastoma<\/li><li>Genetics in an Hour<\/li><li>Fundamentals of Motility<\/li><li>Fundamentals of the Optic Disc<\/li><li>Cornea and External Disease \u2013 Herpes Infections<\/li><li>Immune-Mediated Diseases of the Episclera and Sclera<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Orbis also offers a library with lectures, surgical videos, quizzes, and textbooks and manuals for ophthalmologists across specialties. <a href=\"https:\/\/cybersight.org\/library\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Access the online library here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CPD&nbsp;Credits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scanning resources that are relevant to your professional practice by enhancing your awareness of new evidence, perspectives and findings can be claimed as Section 2: Self-Learning under Scanning in MAINPORT with the MOC Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Access Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>All courses are optimized for mobile devices.
