{"id":3887,"date":"2018-10-25T15:26:03","date_gmt":"2018-10-25T19:26:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cos-prc.machinedev.ca\/2018-mcgill-ophthalmology-research-day\/"},"modified":"2021-06-22T12:18:02","modified_gmt":"2021-06-22T16:18:02","slug":"2018-mcgill-ophthalmology-research-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cosprc.ca\/fr\/2018-mcgill-ophthalmology-research-day\/","title":{"rendered":"2018 McGill Ophthalmology Research Day"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>McGill University offered an Ophthalmology Research Day on June 8, 2018 in Montreal, Quebec at The Research Institute of the MUHC for ophthalmologists, students, or aspiring ophthalmologists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Target Audience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day of in-depth, informative sessions was designed for ophthalmologists in practice, students, or health care professionals researching and interpreting research information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Learning Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the program, participants will be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Describe the methodology of the research.<\/li><li>Analyse a scientific publication in relation to vision research.<\/li><li>Discuss the recent data of fundamental and clinical research in their environment.<\/li><li>Interpret the results of recent research work done in diseases of the eye in such subspecialties as glaucoma, retina, cornea, neuro-ophthalmology, uveitis, pediatric ophthalmology, and vision science.<\/li><li>Discuss the impact these recent developments could have on their practice.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Accreditation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McGill Ophthalmology Research Day is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1), as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and was approved by the Canadian Ophthalmological Society.
