2018 McGill Ophthalmology Clinical Day

The University of McGill offered an Ophthalmology Clinical Day on June 15, 2018 in Montreal, Quebec for ophthalmologists, students, or aspiring ophthalmologists. Topics will include cataract and cornea, retina and uveitis, glaucoma, and neuro-ophthalmology and oculoplastics.

Target Audience

The day of informative sessions was designed for ophthalmologists in practice, students, or health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Compare different methods of imaging ophthalmic structures to detect and manage ophthalmic diseases
  • Assess common artifacts of optic nerve, retinal nerve fibre layer and macular imaging
  • Build on current approaches of managing cataract, glaucoma and retinal conditions using novel imaging modalities including swept-source OCT biometry, OCT angiography, ganglion cell analysis and autofluorescence
  • Discuss the impact of these recent developments could have on their practice
