Upon successful completion of this module, participants will be better able to:
- Categorize patients with early and intermediate AMD using AREDS classification criteria to evaluate their risk of progression to advanced disease.
- Implement evidence-based lifestyle interventions such as Mediterranean diet, physical activity and smoking cessation to slow AMD progression.
- Prescribe appropriate AREDS supplementation considering patient-specific factors.
- Develop monitoring plans using appropriate imaging modalities and follow-up intervals tailored to disease stage and individual risk factors.
