Format de la réunion

En raison du nombre prévu de délégués, tous les microphones et webcaméras des participants seront désactivés durant les séances plénières (sauf pendant les présentations)
Les délégués pourront poser des questions en tout temps aux experts universitaires par le biais de la fenêtre de discussion

Présentations de cas
Tous les participants sont encouragés à soumettre une étude de cas médical ou chirurgical afin que l’on envisage la possibilité de l’inclure dans le programme
Si le nombre de cas soumis excède le temps alloué à la réunion, un nombre limité de cas sera sélectionné par les co-présidents à des fins de présentation
Chaque cas fera l’objet d’une présentation de 5 minutes suivie d’une discussion de 5 minutes avec les experts universitaires et les participants
Le sujet et le titre des cas doivent être fournis lors de l’inscription
Au cas où le titre du cas n’est pas connu lors de l’inscription, cette information doit être fournie d’ici le 20 octobre à Edna Dynka de SNELL Communication Médicale à l’adresse [email protected]
Un collaborateur de SNELL effectuera le suivi de toutes les personnes inscrites concernant leur cas et au besoin, des exigences techniques pour la présentation
Afin de prévenir des problèmes techniques durant la RCCC 2021, toutes les diapositives définitives concernant le cas doivent être fournies à Edna Dynka d’ici le 27 octobre à 17 h HAE
Durant la réunion RCCC 2021, les participants présenteront leur cas en utilisant la fonction Partage d’écran sur Zoom
Présentations des commanditaires
Des commanditaires qualifiés feront une présentation de 5 minutes durant le programme RCCC
La présentation des commanditaires sera effectuée tout au long de la réunion par un co-président et elle apparaîtra clairement comme ne faisant pas partie du programme scientifique
Veuillez soutenir nos commanditaires en regardant les présentations, étant donné que leur parrainage continu rend possible la réunion RCCC
Salles de discussion des commanditaires de RCCC
Tous les commanditaires disposeront d’une salle de discussion privée que les délégués peuvent visiter durant la pause-déjeuner
La salle de discussion des commanditaires est une salle de réunion virtuelle séparée où les commanditaires peuvent présenter des informations sur leurs sociétés, leurs produits ou leurs services par le biais de diapositives, de vidéos et/ou de discussions en direct avec des délégués
Pendant toute la séance plénière, les micros et les caméras vidéo des délégués seront désactivés, mais en ce qui concerne les salles de discussion des commanditaires, s’ils préfèrent, ils peuvent être activés afin de simuler une expérience davantage en personne avec tous les participants visibles et de discuter les uns avec les autres et les représentants des commanditaires, les présentateurs, etc.
Les délégués pourront naviguer à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur des salles de discussion de leur choix durant la pause déjeuner.
Après la pause-déjeuner, tous les délégués seront redirigés vers la salle de la séance plénière et leurs webcaméras et leurs microphones seront désactivés

8. While Gore-tex suture has several advantages for use in scleral-sutured IOLs, it must be adequately buried in the sclera to prevent erosion.
9. 5-0 polypropylene fixation using the Canabrava double-flanged technique is a good option for re-fixating lenses and avoids several of the pitfalls of sutured IOLs.
10. Re-fixation of a pre-existing lens requires familiarity and comfort with all different approaches to secondary IOLs and complex anterior segment surgery.

Program Description:
The 52nd Sally Letson Symposium will consist of a full-day virtual program focused on clinical and surgical pearls in ophthalmology, with applications to both general and subspecialty practice. Part One of the program will review key concepts pertaining to cataract surgery, including preoperative planning and IOL selection, management of comorbidities presenting with cataract, intraoperative techniques applicable to standard and challenging cases, and postoperative management; as well as an overview of current technologies in the field of refractive surgery. Part Two of the program will cover high-yield subspecialty topics in Oculoplastics, Cornea and External Disease, Glaucoma, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Retina/Uveitis, and Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, highlighting key points relevant to the comprehensive ophthalmology practice. Guest speakers will include an esteemed cohort of experts in the vanguard of their respective fields who will guide attendees through current best practices in the diagnosis and management of important “conditions not to miss”. Special sessions will also be dedicated to physician well-being and prevention of burnout, aiming to empower healthcare workers with effective tools to better care for themselves and their patients. Multiple high-yield educational formats, including didactic lectures, panel discussions, and case-based presentations, will be employed in a virtual environment that will encourage audience interaction and foster critical thinking.
Target Audience:
This symposium is designed for attendance by ophthalmologists, ophthalmology fellows and residents, optometrists, medical students, technicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals.
